Launched in the fall of 2018, the Woodford Reserve Master’s Collection Oat Grain Bourbon serves as the 13th release of the series and while the number 13 may deter some people this bourbon is far from being a bringer of bad luck. Crafted from a proprietary mash bill that swapped some of the rye in favor of oats, the whiskey is distilled in a traditional copper pot still before being aged in new, American oak casks before being bottled at a hearty 90.4 proof to create a unique flavor profile heavily resembling the light flavors of traditional Irish whiskey.

On the nose, the bourbon conveys a welcoming aroma of fresh oats, caramel, oak, cinnamon, and peppermint with a dash of orange zest. This is complemented by a delicate palate of grain, oak, apple, orange zest, caramel, and peppermint tied up by a lengthy finish of cocoa, apples, and oranges.
