20 year old single barrel bourbon from the Michter’s Distillery in Louisville, Kentucky. A brilliant expression – well balanced notes of dried fruit, oak-y spice and vanilla with a subtle herbaceous hint along the way. Simply put, this is top quality bourbon.

Michter’s 20 Year Old Single Barrel Bourbon Tasting Notes

Nose: Dark caramel color, along with an aroma of espresso, toffee and whipped cream.

Palate: Notes of spices predominate on the palate, and are complemented by touches of lemon, grapefruit, molasses and vanilla.

Finish: Medium-long, with touches of tobacco, old leather and figs.

Distillery Information

Bomberger’s Distillery, more recently Michter’s Distillery, is a non-operating distillery facility that was, at the end of the twentieth century, believed to be the oldest remaining such building in the United States. The distillery closed in 1989 and may have since been demolished.
