Description
Syntax’s Straight Bourbon Whiskey is made of corn, wheat, barley, and Poudre River water. Each batch is aged for at least two years in 53 gallon whisky barrels to produce a richer, more flavorful spirit than rapid-aging in small barrels. This brashly flavorful young bourbon adds a fruit character to whiskey cocktails. It was made to be sipped straight, just as distiller Heather prefers, but a single ice cube opens up the flavors. But there’s no need to stop there. Enjoy it in spirit-forward cocktails like a Manhattan, Whisky Sour, Old Fashioned, or Mint Julep.
The Beverage Tasting Institute described this bourbon as having a light amber color with aromas of caramelized nuts, apricot granola, waxy honeycomb, and candy corn. It has a fruity-yet-dry, medium-to-full body, with a warm finish of zesty/peppery spice, dried fruit, and minerals. It has won two gold medals at the 2015 and 2017 Wizards of Whisky awards, along with a BTI rating of 89 points
Syntax was one of only a handful of distilleries in Colorado when we opened in 2010. From the beginning, we decided to make authentic grain-to-glass craft spirits.
Since then, we’ve made every Syntax product in our handmade stills, and have never used neutral grain spirits or blended Syntax products with those from other distillers. We hold ourselves to the standard of producing nothing but the highest quality craft spirits every day.
