Luxco’s Blood Oath series broke through the bourbon scene with a bang releasing their first blended Kentucky straight bourbon expression in 2015. Their most recent release denys the tradition of masterfully marrying the flavors of three exquisite bourbons to create a unique and complex flavor profile.

Like its predecessors, the aptly named Blood Oath Pact 4 Kentucky Straight Bourbon is a limited edition release of only 36,000 bottles. Made from a combination of 12, 10, and 9-year-old bourbon, the resulting blend is finished in extra-toasted American oak barrels to add yet another layer of flavor to create a warming, sweet, and surprisingly easygoing bourbon despite its relatively high proof. The blend of three bourbons hits you with familiar notes of vanilla and oak accented by earthy overtones of tobacco leaf, licorice, and mushroom. On the palate, it raises the bar with an immediate burst of spice followed by notes of cinnamon, raspberry, vanilla, chocolate syrup, and sour cherry shored by a warming and sweet finish. Blood Oath Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey Pact No. 4 Tasting Notes

Nose: Caramel and strong oak, backed up with rich vanilla and chocolate.

Palate: Rich caramel, honey and spicy oak, followed with smooth vanilla and warm chocolate undertones from the toasted barrels.

Finish: Robust spice followed by ultra-smooth finish, with lasting caramel, vanilla and oak.

Distillery Information

With over 18,000 square feet, 6 barrel warehouses at capacity and a 43-foot custom copper still, Lux Row Distillers is capable of producing 3 million gallons of spirit per year. When fully complete we will have the composite to process 50 thousand barrels of whiskey annually.
